Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years in launch vehicle or aerospace system design
- High proficiency in CAD tools (Siemens NX, Solidworks), PLM systems, and EBOM management
- Deep knowledge about Propulsion, AGNC, and LV Structures
- Ability to improve company processes such as ECR workflows and configuration management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Structured problem-solving approach with high attention to detail
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in German
Tasks
- Serve as the global design authority for the Spectrum Launch Vehicle
- Ensure integration of subsystem kits into the vehicle architecture
- Define and maintain the ICD framework across teams and stakeholders
- Govern the global CAD model and EBOM for all subsystems
- Ensure harmonized BOM structure and configuration control
- Track release status for all subsystems
- Own and enforce common design standards and guidelines
- Drive modularization and industrialization of hardware
- Reduce cost and part count in coordination with the DFMA team
- Act as ECR process owner for cross-functional design changes
- Interface with Digital & Operations to maintain data integrity
- Collaborate with Production, DFMA, and AIT for design feedback
- Incorporate feedback into design iterations and kit definitions
