Requirements
- Master’s degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience from automotive, maritime, or commercial fuel cell sectors adapting to aerospace standards
- Expertise in CAD-based design of bipolar plates
- Substantial professional background in fuel cell stack development
- Expertise with 3D-CAD tools (e.g., Catia, 3DX)
- Ability to interpret FEM and CFD simulation results
- Programming competence (e.g., Python)
- Google Workspace proficiency (plus)
- Pragmatism, simplicity focus, multidisciplinary/multicultural adaptability, "Can-do attitude", strong execution drive
- Fluent English and German proficiency
Tasks
- Create and release CAD drawings on time
- Adhere to Aerostack standards and configuration management
- Deliver sub-work packages in full compliance
- Develop fuel cell stack components, parts, jigs, and tools
- Define and manage requirements for stack components and tools
- Create advanced, parameterized CAD models
- Conduct mass and volume calculations
- Perform assembly checks
- Define and perform mechanical analyses
- Conduct detailed tolerance calculations
- Prepare CAD models for CAE calculations
- Apply Aerostack and aeronautical standards
- Release manufacturing drawings and engineering documents
- Ensure part numbering and release system adherence
- Support configuration management and best practices
- Participate in D-FMEAs and P-FMEAs
- Coordinate procurement, manufacturing, and assembly
- Support validation and verification activities
- Strive for TRL 5 and beyond in stack technology
- Control and document sub-work packages
- Collaborate with CRE, project leads, and cross-functional partners
- Improve engineering procedures and design methods
- Conduct patent and literature research
