- Additional languages (German, French, or Dutch) advantageous
- Willingness to travel frequently and work internationally
- Experience in design-build or general contracting environments
- Exposure to sustainability, energy optimization, operational efficiency upgrades in industrial buildings
- Familiarity with operating in live, high-throughput facilities with controlled downtime
Tasks
- Deliver retrofit, refurbishment, and alteration projects in international distribution centers
- Support Property team with strong project management and MEP expertise
- Minimize operational disruption during project execution
- Manage MEP and architectural design process for upgrades and extensions
- Serve as primary technical liaison between internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate design reviews and technical decision-making
- Identify and mitigate technical risks in brownfield environments
- Review and validate MEP and architectural designs by external consultants
- Optimize designs for cost, constructability, maintainability, and future flexibility
- Challenge over-engineering and support value engineering
- Conduct site inspections, design audits, and commissioning activities
- Manage design-to-budget and support tender evaluations
- Control cost impacts from design changes
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, food safety standards, and sustainability targets
