- •Solid understanding of climate physics modeling
- •Interest in policy analysis collaboration
- •PhD in climate science or related
- •Knowledge of reduced-complexity climate models
- •Expertise in greenhouse-gas cycles (advantageous)
- •Knowledge of radiative forcing assessments (advantageous)
- •Experience in detection and attribution studies (advantageous)
- •Minimum 6 years relevant work experience
- •Experience in project and team management
- •Strong programming skills in Python or MatLab
- •Experience with git and unit testing
- •Interest in climate-change mitigation impact
- •Excellent English writing and verbal skills
- •Teamwork skills and interpersonal ability

- •Calibrate reduced-complexity climate models with historical data
- •Monitor scientific literature and IPCC developments
- •Establish global and national decarbonization benchmarks
- •Expand partnerships with climate modeling groups
- •Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders
- •Ensure scientific integrity across all work
- •Contribute to and lead scientific articles
- •Represent the organization at international conferences
