Requirements

  • •Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering
  • •Minimum of 7 years of experience as a CAD Design Engineer
  • •Strong experience with Siemens NX CAD tool
  • •Strong knowledge of aerospace vehicle design and associated challenges
  • •Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards
  • •Good understanding of the spacecraft certification process
  • •Experience in composite design is a plus
  • •Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus
  • •Fluency in English; German, French, and Italian are an asset
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills
  • •Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • •Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks
  • •Positive and flexible attitude to get the job done
  • •Demonstrates behaviours consistent with core values of Vision, Mission, Teamwork, Integrity, and Excellence

Tasks

  • •Define overall vehicle architecture
  • •Detail the vehicle specifications
  • •Contribute to vehicle certification
  • •Build CAD models of the vehicle and subsystems using Siemens NX
  • •Adjust CAD models based on thermo-mechanical computations and trade-offs
  • •Collaborate with analysts and engineers to ensure architectural compliance
  • •Manage configuration of CAD models
  • •Track vehicle structure mass budget in the system database
  • •Participate in co-engineering sessions to assess solution feasibility
  • •Define volume allocations and clearance specifications for subsystems
  • •Improve CAD tools and processes
  • •Communicate technical data through analysis and presentations
  • •Provide technical documentation and drawings for system reviews
  • •Interact with space agencies for flight certification support
  • •Contribute to validation and verification of requirements
