Requirements
- •Master’s degree or higher in Biology, Computer Science, or related field
- •Experience building and executing scientific workflows
- •Excellent command of Python, R, and/or Julia
- •Understanding of open source scientific workflow platforms
- •Understanding of software engineering best practices
- •Desire to engage with open-source communities
- •Passion for supporting researchers
- •Strong abilities in cross-disciplinary collaboration
- •PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field
- •Experience with novel, emerging data types
- •Experience with infrastructure deployment and container orchestration
- •Experience with scientific workflows using HPC environments
- •Experience in writing efficient user documentation

- •Develop strategies to standardize data formats and workflows
- •Implement harmonized data pipelines across EMBL's six sites
- •Collaborate with researchers on reusable and reproducible data pipelines
- •Support the development of local and pan-EMBL data management pipelines
- •Create solutions for integrating multimodal data
- •Embed FAIR principles in data handling processes
- •Contribute to onboarding and training of research staff
- •Facilitate communication and data flow within EMBL and with external scientists
- •Explore new methods and technologies for EMBL initiatives
