Requirements
- Scientific background (academic and/or professional)
- Senior technical architecture experience
- Commercial tech sales support
- R&D IT or Data & Informatics experience
- Data modeling (logical, physical, conceptual)
- Python scripting proficiency
- Cloud RDBMS (Snowflake) proficiency
- NoSQL databases (Redshift, Databricks) proficiency
- Familiarity with Spark
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions
- AWS data services experience
- Azure experience
- Google Cloud experience
- Data governance understanding
- Data quality understanding
- Familiarity with Tableau
- Familiarity with Power BI
- Familiarity with QlikView
Tasks
- Provide strategic technical partnership with customers
- Bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution
- Design, architect, and deliver impactful solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech customers
- Work with clients from prospecting to winning RFPs
- Understand scientists' and R&D IT analysts' needs
- Analyze clients' data environments
- Assist in designing and implementing solutions
- Enable customers to achieve faster ROI and reduced risk
- Ensure smooth scaling and accelerated product adoption
- Support long-term project success
- Serve as primary point of contact through the sales cycle
- Engage in lifecycle management and adoption acceleration
- Manage technical health and risks
- Plan strategically and manage stakeholders across sales, product, and engineering
- Enable sales growth and support
- Build deep technical and science senior relationships
- Understand customer scientific data and AI architecture
- Provide proactive, prescriptive technical guidance
- Act as a trusted advisor aligned to customer outcomes
- Drive adoption and success plan execution
- Conduct regular technical reviews
- Identify risks and recommend optimizations
- Lead strategy for expansions
- Support POCs and co-innovation
- Manage resolution for escalated issues
- Accelerate time to value
- Improve stability and uptime
- Align with strategic roadmap
- Provide prioritized support and faster resolutions
- Optimize ROI through continuous improvement
- Support growth through hands-on sessions and enablement presentations
- Showcase tailored demonstrations to prospects
- Map business requirements to technical solutions
- Calculate potential ROI for proposed solutions
- Cultivate relationships with clients, sales, and technical teams
- Collaborate with science and technology partners
- Develop negotiation skills
- Develop deep product knowledge
- Design and showcase tailored demonstrations
- Contribute to RFPs/RFIs with detailed technical specifications
- Ensure projects are on track and within scope
- Coordinate with stakeholders for smooth presales activities
