Sales Engineer EMEA(m/w/x)
Defining and presenting multi-product solutions and technical business cases for SAR satellite data. Frequent international travel up to 40% expected. Work in a niche SAR satellite data and analytics environment.
Requirements
- International travel up to 30-40% of the time
- Master’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or related technical field
- 5+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solution architecture
- Experience in SAR, EO, Geospatial or adjacent analytics fields (preferred)
- Proven ability to design multi-product technical solutions and build business cases
- Experience writing RFP responses, SOWs, and technical documentation
- Hands-on familiarity with EO/SAR products, imagery workflows, cloud geospatial stacks, APIs, and common toolchains
- Strong presentation, demo, and stakeholder-management skills
- Excellent English
- Additional languages (German, French, or Spanish) are a plus
- Prior experience at EO/SAR companies or commercial satellite/data providers
- Experience with cloud deployments, containerized services, and production analytics/ML pipelines
- Track record of converting PoCs to paid deployments and influencing deal economics
- Sector knowledge or contacts in D&I, Civil Government, Energy verticals
Tasks
- Define multi-product solutions for customer needs.
- Present multi-product solutions to customers.
- Prepare technical business-case decks.
- Present technical business-case decks to stakeholders.
- Identify market gaps to influence strategy.
- Recommend product or packaging changes.
- Collaborate to prioritize features and roadmap.
- Maintain deep product and roadmap knowledge.
- Drive early adoption of new features.
- Produce technical notes and comparisons.
- Lead technical responses to RFPs and tenders.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and system specifications.
- Ensure technical clarity in proposals.
- Ensure compliance in contract documents.
- Provide concurrent technical support to customers.
- Ensure solution consistency and met expectations.
- Capture and share best practices and solutions.
- Curate industry-specific demo datasets.
- Build compelling pitch decks and live demos.
- Maintain a library of demo assets.
- Define Proof of Concept (PoC) success criteria.
- Run technical PoC setups.
- Validate PoC outputs.
- Produce PoC reports for commercial decisions.
- Coordinate solution hand-off to delivery teams.
- Train customers and partners on solutions.
- Integrate customer feedback into product roadmap.
- Integrate competitive intelligence into product roadmap.
- Integrate field insights into go-to-market strategy.
- Attend customer meetings and industry events.
