Quantum Software Engineer - Qrisp(m/w/x)
Designing quantum programming abstractions and optimizing Jasp compilation pipeline. Compiler infrastructure and quantum algorithm implementation experience required. Full-stack quantum computing, hybrid setups.
Requirements
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with compiler infrastructure (LLVM or MLIR), JAX, or similar tracing or JIT frameworks
- Solid understanding of quantum computing fundamentals
- Experience implementing quantum algorithms or working with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, or similar)
- Familiarity with numerical or scientific Python (NumPy, SciPy)
- Familiarity with software engineering practices (testing, CI or CD, version control)
- Experience with FPGA programming
- Experience with real time systems
- Experience with error correction theory
- Experience with open source community building
- Ability to work in a cross organizational, international team
Tasks
- Design high-level quantum programming abstractions
- Implement quantum types and algorithm primitives
- Optimize Jasp compilation pipeline
- Develop intermediate representations and MLIR lowering
- Implement quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, Grover, Shor, QSP, HHL, block encodings)
- Contribute to algorithm library
- Build hardware integration layers for IQM and other backends
- Write documentation, tutorials, and examples
- Engage with open source community
- Review contributions and support users
- Maintain code quality through testing, CI, and code review
- Improve performance through benchmarking and profiling
- Work effectively in cross-organizational and international teams
