Requirements
- M.Sc. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Exceptional knowledge in thermodynamics
- Exceptional knowledge in rocket motor system architecture
- Exceptional knowledge in sub system interactions
- Knowledge in measurement technology
- Knowledge in stochastic analysis
- Fundamental understanding of combustion

- Proven experience in developing empiric models
- Proven experience in validating empiric models

- Proven experience in validating semi empiric models

- Proven experience in setting up cycle models of complex fluid systems
- Proven experience in setting up cycle models of complex machinery

Tasks
- Implement engine models for load point predictions
- Quantify engine performance uncertainty
- Provide engine performance models to GNC team
- Develop modular engine models for existing and conceptual engines
- Maintain engine models for performance studies
- Coordinate with product owners on subcomponent characterization
- Maintain component performance database
- Provide load point predictions during development and testing
- Define engine performance acceptance criteria for flight/qualification tests
- Provide engine performance metrics for flight software
- Conduct uncertainty quantification for engine performance metrics
- Maintain database of characteristic parameters (Isp, mass flow)
- Maintain lookup tables for engine transients
- Maintain secondary engine models for rocket kinematics
- Conduct conceptual engine performance studies for future systems
- Ensure quality of engine performance data acquisition
- Define sensor requirements for in-flight performance verification
- Elaborate uncertainty propagation for measurement chains
- Collaborate with test rig personnel on data quality
