Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering
  • 5 years engineering experience, 2-3 years in automotive sustainability requirements
  • Strong understanding of engineering design and materials
  • Working knowledge of sustainability metrics
  • Analytical, structured, detail-oriented working style
  • Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate standards into engineer-friendly guidelines
  • Affinity with PLM systems, data, and engineering tools
  • Minimum qualifications met

Tasks

  • Define and maintain sustainability guidelines and checklists
  • Conduct sustainability reviews of products across development phases
  • Assess defined criteria for engineering design and release decisions
  • Embed sustainability requirements in engineering processes
  • Define sustainability deliverables for each development phase
  • Advise engineering teams on material and design considerations
  • Assess CO₂ footprint and environmental impact
  • Evaluate recycled or bio-based content and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain sustainability material database and documentation
  • Support translation of sustainability requirements into engineering guidance
  • Escalate sustainability deviations or risks
  • Prepare and deploy sustainability trainings for engineering teams
  • Support lessons learned and best practice sharing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
