Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering
- 5 years engineering experience, 2-3 years in automotive sustainability requirements
- Strong understanding of engineering design and materials
- Working knowledge of sustainability metrics
- Analytical, structured, detail-oriented working style
- Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills
- Ability to translate standards into engineer-friendly guidelines
- Affinity with PLM systems, data, and engineering tools
- Minimum qualifications met
Tasks
- Define and maintain sustainability guidelines and checklists
- Conduct sustainability reviews of products across development phases
- Assess defined criteria for engineering design and release decisions
- Embed sustainability requirements in engineering processes
- Define sustainability deliverables for each development phase
- Advise engineering teams on material and design considerations
- Assess CO₂ footprint and environmental impact
- Evaluate recycled or bio-based content and regulatory compliance
- Maintain sustainability material database and documentation
- Support translation of sustainability requirements into engineering guidance
- Escalate sustainability deviations or risks
- Prepare and deploy sustainability trainings for engineering teams
- Support lessons learned and best practice sharing
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
