Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline, or technical qualification with relevant experience
- Hands-on Engineering role experience with Electrical and Mechanical
- Familiarity with pneumatics, mechanics, electronics, RF technology, metrology, laser technologies (desirable)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills (software, electronic, optical, mechanical)
- Proficiency in computer systems and operating environments (e.g., MS Windows)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Willingness and availability to travel within UK and Europe (approx. 70%), occasional international travel
Tasks
- Install and operate advanced systems at customer sites
- Deploy PVD, Etch, and CVD tools
- Collaborate with multicultural teams
- Travel to advanced semiconductor fabs
- Ensure tools are installed correctly and validated
- Communicate directly with customers
- Understand and meet customer needs
- Follow documented best known methods
- Document work performed
- Conduct pre-installation meetings
- Develop action plans for customer needs
- Validate deliverables
- Perform physical installs and connections
- Align and calibrate systems with precision
- Set up and teach wafer handler robots
- Conduct system-level calibrations and performance testing
- Verify applications and product wafers
- Troubleshoot complex system issues
- Use data analysis and structured problem-solving
- Manage critical issues across sites and regions
- Lead post-installation meetings
- Verify tool performance
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Conduct application testing
- Confirm operational quality
- Maintain regular communication
- Participate in escalation meetings
- Deliver training to global support teams
