Requirements

  • •PhD in relevant Life Science field
  • •Several years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech research
  • •Recognized scientific excellence through high-impact publications and conference presentations
  • •Expertise in renal pathophysiology and its interplay with cardiovascular, metabolic, or immune mechanisms
  • •Solid understanding of the drug discovery process
  • •Advanced laboratory skills in cell culture, cellular analytics, functional cellular assay development, and molecular biology
  • •Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • •Effective communication of complex data across functions
  • •Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • •German skills are an advantage

Tasks

  • •Drive the development of a sustainable renal disease research portfolio
  • •Provide strategic guidance and act as Biology Lead for in vitro pharmacology
  • •Design and innovate functional in vitro disease models for drug discovery
  • •Lead technology teams to promote agile resource management
  • •Engage in Disease Biology Communities and propose novel targets
  • •Coach and mentor scientists and technical staff to foster collaboration
  • •Collaborate with disciplines and external partners to align with R&D strategy
  • •Develop and implement new research strategies for cardiovascular and renal programs
