Power Electronics Hardware Engineer(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will drive the development of high-performance power hardware, from initial PCB design and component selection to rigorous validation and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• •Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• •Background in power electronics and hardware design
• •Experience with electrical protection and converters
• •Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design
• •Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment
• •Understanding of electronics packaging and EMI/EMC
• •Ability to debug complex hardware issues
• •Experience with wide bandgap semiconductors
• •Familiarity with electronics simulation tools
• •Knowledge of high-voltage and high-power systems
• •Experience with DO-254 process
• •Experience with aerospace and defence standards

Tasks

• •Design power distribution units and DC-DC converters
• •Capture and manage requirements systematically
• •Create schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs
• •Perform circuit simulations and design optimization
• •Select and qualify power components and magnetics
• •Lead prototype builds and validation testing
• •Conduct failure analysis and implement improvements
• •Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• •Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and production teams
• •Support manufacturing ramp-up and field issue resolution
• •Maintain technical documentation and design reviews
