Requirements

  • 6-10 years experience in Procurement (manufacturing)
  • Business School degree or Postgraduate studies (Management, Engineering, or related)
  • Proven experience in indirect purchasing, supplier negotiations, contract management, legal aspects
  • Advantageous: Professional certifications (CIPS, ISM, Lean, Supply Chain Management)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, matrix/international environment work ability
  • Fluent German and English

Tasks

  • Ensure global and local strategies meet plant requirements
  • Implement and apply corporate procurement strategy to achieve plant objectives
  • Execute global commodity strategies (direct, indirect, CAPEX)
  • Define and deploy commodity strategies not addressed by corporate
  • Manage site budget and performance KPIs
  • Conduct monthly reporting and follow up on actions to achieve targets
  • Continuously challenge and develop improvement actions
  • Represent Procurement at plant management
  • Ensure understanding of corporate procurement strategies
  • Explore the market for new suppliers
  • Find and qualify new local commodity suppliers
  • Support procurement for new products and projects
  • Support Production and R&D departments
  • Resolve supplier disputes for Production and R&D
  • Negotiate optimal conditions for non-GCM products, equipment, and services
  • Optimize sourcing procurement through supplier audits
  • Manage local supplier contracts
  • Establish strategy for local indirect purchases
  • Create competitive environment among suppliers
  • Maintain competitive environment among suppliers
  • Ensure quality of all purchasing data in ERP
  • Warn Global Commodity Managers about relevant commodity data gaps
  • Align local procurement performance with local controlling
  • Establish and share procurement procedures, methodologies, and tools
  • Adhere to group procurement standards for new business awards
