Tasks
- Design and develop parachute systems for aerospace vehicles
- Lead conceptual and detailed design of parachute deployment systems
- Create and maintain technical documentation (requirements, design reports, analysis summaries, test plans)
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for system integration
- Evaluate mechanical and thermal loads, material selection, and interface requirements
- Perform sizing calculations for system assemblies
- Define and execute development test plans from concept to qualification
- Set up test configurations, instrumentation, and data analysis for system validation
- Coordinate with suppliers and external partners for hardware sourcing and qualification
- Support trade-off studies for weight, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety
