- Model physical architecture of spacecraft using Siemens NX or equivalent
- Contribute to overall architecture, aeroshape, and equipment accommodation decisions
- Design aerospace components and systems with advanced CAD software
- Adjust CAD models based on thermo-mechanical computations and system trade-offs
- Collaborate with thermal and structural analysts, materials, and manufacturing engineers
- Maintain configuration management of CAD models
- Manage vehicle structure mass budget using CAD model
- Participate in co-engineering sessions with mission, propulsion, avionics, GNC, and system engineers
- Define volume allocations and clearance specifications for vehicle subsystems
- Improve CAD tools and processes
- Communicate and provide recommendations through technical data analysis
- Prepare and present technical data and recommendations
- Create technical documentation and drawings
- Participate in reviews of designed systems
