Requirements

• University degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience of Spacecraft Operations
• Experience of Spacecraft Operations Preparation
• Experience in satellite performance monitoring and reporting
• Experience in satellite ground segment facilities
• Experience of SCOS 2000 and APEX tool
• Proven experience in LEOP and commissioning
• Specification of space system and operational concepts
• Familiarity with On-Board Control Procedure concepts
• Familiarity with ECSS Packet Utilisation Standard
• Familiarity with system change control procedures
• Data analysis software and programming skills
• Use of VBA for MS Office applications
• Ability to solve complex technical problems
• Effective teamwork and clear technical communication

Tasks

• Ensure proper in-flight operations for Metop and Metop-SG spacecraft
• Provide on-call service for spacecraft operations
• Perform Mission Planning checks
• Monitor daily operations during on-call periods
• Report weekly on subsystem health and performance
• Analyze subsystems using TM Propagator and CHART tools
• Investigate and resolve in-orbit spacecraft anomalies
• Develop and maintain the operational baseline
• Improve the efficiency and accuracy of operations
• Support satellite manufacturer routine operations and rehearsals
• Prepare Annual Performance Reports for spacecraft subsystems
• Raise and resolve anomaly reports
• Assist with APEX procedure tracking and validation tools
• Set up FOP tool kits
• Develop and maintain EPS and EPS-SG simulators
• Finalize and validate Metop re-orbiting and decommissioning
• Coordinate technology tests with Flight Dynamics and facility experts
• Review and maintain operational guides and documents
• Prepare manual and automated procedures
• Create Special Operation Instructions and TMTC displays
• Produce and maintain operational data units for Metop
• Contribute to space segment and system reviews
• Interface with Metop-SG system and facility teams
• Review and accept operational deliverables from industry
• Verify and validate operational data units and databases
• Support System Validation Tests and preparation milestones
• Develop and use SATSIM tools for verification activities
• Execute operational validation campaigns and rehearsals
• Demonstrate operational readiness before launch
• Deliver SSVT plans, specifications, and data packages
• Prepare for METOP LEOP and system team interfacing
• Define and develop engineering off-line tools
• Support spacecraft analysis and reporting functions
• Maintain documentation for system development and testing
• Define procedure production rules and naming conventions
• Maintain the Analyst and Reporting Operations Guides
• Design and deliver satellite-level operations training
