Requirements

  • Advanced degree: Medical Doctor (MD) strongly preferred
  • PhD or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in relevant clinical discipline
  • Equivalent education and experience

Tasks

  • Develop and maintain professional scientific relationships with thought leaders in key academic medical centers, university hospitals, and blood establishments.
  • Serve as primary Medical Affairs contact for clinical and scientific information exchanges with German healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver education on therapeutic plasma exchange to clinical sites, including journal clubs, in-service sessions, and method notes.
  • Conduct site evaluation-readiness assessments for centrifugal TPE and adsorption column technologies.
  • Organize and deliver vascular access education, including ultrasound-guided cannulation workshops.
  • Monitor ongoing clinical studies at German sites, providing periodic status briefs to internal stakeholders.
  • Engage with intensive care teams through secondary plasma device and adsorption column touchpoints.
  • Map and engage priority KOLs across clinical and nursing profiles, organizing advisory sessions and case reviews.
  • Support centers with rising needs in red blood cell exchange and therapeutic erythrocyte apheresis.
  • Identify opportunities and conduct formal presentations to essential groups as requested by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of clinical, scientific, and technical information in therapeutic apheresis and extracorporeal therapies.
  • Work with the commercialization team and global product marketing on product innovation and unmet medical needs.
  • Respond to customer complaints from a medical/scientific perspective, collaborating with field specialists and the quality department.
  • Participate in developing tools and resources for the medical affairs team.
  • Attend and provide coverage at national and international medical education venues.
  • Work with customers on data abstraction and publication of clinical, scientific, or operational data.
  • Provide medical, scientific, and technical review and opinion as requested internally.
  • Respond to and track medical information requests from healthcare professionals and decision makers.
  • Lead and coordinate special projects to build scientific and medical competencies within the organization.
  • Support co-promotion activities in the DACH region, coordinating with Legal and Medical Affairs.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and digital platforms to accelerate evidence synthesis, literature screening, content development, and medical information management.
