Requirements
- •Medical degree or scientific degree (PhD advantageous)
- •Strong background in clinical trial development
- •At least 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry medical affairs
- •Ability to build and lead a high performing team
- •Proven ability to manage complex projects
- •Comprehensive understanding of drug development and clinical trial design
- •Strong ethical reputation and integrity
- •Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills in German and English
- •Confident independent work style with established leadership capabilities
- •Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability

- •Provide leadership and mentorship to the pipeline medical in-field team
- •Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for medical activities
- •Drive pipeline strategy development with cross-functional stakeholders
- •Develop a long-term view of upcoming indications for AbbVie Germany
- •Establish relationships with key academics and clinicians in relevant areas
- •Assess the competitive landscape for targeted indications
- •Prioritize indications to allocate resources effectively in Germany
- •Represent Medical Affairs Germany in global meetings for strategy alignment
- •Act as liaison between the Germany affiliate and global development teams
- •Optimize processes for pipeline prioritization and pre-launch readiness
- •Coordinate insights transfer from early development to Therapeutic Area teams
- •Manage activities and KPIs of the pMSL team and Medical Manager
- •Oversee planning of AbbVie’s clinical trial footprint in Germany
- •Build an information base for potential indications for leadership decisions
- •Provide oversight of pipeline activities in collaboration with leadership
- •Maintain knowledge of AbbVie’s early-stage assets for strategic planning
- •Support governance of evidence processes aligning with global strategies
