Media Relations Manager(m/w/x)
In this role, you will engage with the media by monitoring trends and identifying visibility opportunities for FSC. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include drafting press materials, managing media inquiries, and supporting crisis communication efforts to uphold the reputation of FSC.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field
- At least five years of professional experience working with journalists
- Experience in development and management of communications strategies
- Good time management skills
- Solution oriented attitude to work

- Project management experience
- Strong sense for diligence and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to plan and organize work independently
- Standard software packages (MS Office)
- Adobe Creative Cloud skills are a plus

- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in managing crisis communications
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations
- Ability to respond quickly and decisively to media requests and issues
Tasks
- Support proactive engagement in public debates by monitoring media narratives
- Identify opportunities for FSC visibility
- Assist in organizing press briefings and media engagements
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
- Draft and distribute press releases and media responses
- Monitor and summarize emerging issues that could affect FSC's reputation
- Support the development of recommended communication actions
- Contribute to crisis communication plans and protocols
- Serve as the first point of contact for routine media inquiries
- Prepare briefing materials, Q&As, and talking points for spokespersons
- Maintain and update messaging and issue-specific talking points
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
