Tasks
- Plan and control direct materials
- Develop and implement materials strategy
- Lead materials project initiatives
- Optimize material flow for lean and continuous improvement
- Manage indirect labor productivity in the materials department
- Monitor inventory turns, on-time shipping, and order fill rate
- Ensure timely material delivery and inventory management
- Schedule production and manage materials movement
- Measure and improve supplier performance
- Implement and support Materials and SIOP standard work processes
- Facilitate collaboration with Sourcing, Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Accounting, and Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute countermeasures for underperforming processes and suppliers
- Select, develop, and evaluate materials personnel
- Drive digitization of planning and demand reporting
- Manage supplier deliveries in a Lean manufacturing environment
- Plan, evaluate, organize, integrate, and delegate tasks
- Assign jobs based on staff requirements
- Support Global Procurement Commodity Leaders in supplier selection
- Develop and implement professional development programs for materials personnel
- Align production plans with SIOP consensus plans
- Enhance supplier relationships
- Perform additional duties as required
