Requirements
- •Experience supporting military planning at theater, operational, or tactical levels
- •Experience leading joint planning teams, operational planning teams, and battle rhythm events
- •Experience planning large-scale events with military headquarters staff elements
- •Experience with Joint Planning Process, Navy Planning Process, Marine Corps Planning Process, or Military Decision-Making Process
- •Knowledge of U.S. Marine Corps organization and structure
- •Knowledge of naval and joint doctrine
- •Ability to coordinate across staff functions and command echelons
- •Ability to brief senior-level customers
- •Secret clearance
- •Bachelor's degree
- •TS/SCI clearance
- •Master's degree
- •Completion of Maritime Operational Planners Course
- •Completion of Joint Professional Military Education Phase 1 and 2, Joint Advanced Warfighting School, Maritime Advanced Warfighting School, School of Advanced Warfighting, School of Advanced Military Studies, or similar Course
- •Eligibility for access to classified information; Secret clearance required

- •Support operational planning for maritime campaigns
- •Develop schedules and action plans for coordination and collaboration
- •Analyze Marine Corps contributions to USAFRICOM and USEUCOM support plans
- •Evaluate personnel and command and control (C2) requirements for naval operations
- •Conduct cross-echelon analysis of C2 and organizational structures
- •Organize and monitor key actions and milestones for planning teams
- •Participate in exercises and working groups for naval integration
- •Recommend courses of action and command relationships at the operational level
- •Provide expertise on doctrine and concepts of operation
- •Describe capability requirements to assist decision-makers
- •Identify and document issues related to doctrine, training, and policy
