Maritime Campaign Planner(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Experience supporting military planning at theater, operational, or tactical levels
• Experience leading joint planning teams, operational planning teams, and battle rhythm events
• Experience planning large-scale events with military headquarters staff elements
• Experience with Joint Planning Process, Navy Planning Process, Marine Corps Planning Process, or Military Decision-Making Process
• Knowledge of U.S. Marine Corps organization and structure
• Knowledge of naval and joint doctrine
• Ability to coordinate across staff functions and command echelons
• Ability to brief senior-level customers
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• TS/SCI clearance
• Master's degree
• Completion of Maritime Operational Planners Course
• Completion of Joint Professional Military Education Phase 1 and 2, Joint Advanced Warfighting School, Maritime Advanced Warfighting School, School of Advanced Warfighting, School of Advanced Military Studies, or similar Course
• Eligibility for access to classified information; Secret clearance required

Tasks

• Support operational planning for maritime campaigns
• Develop schedules and action plans for coordination and collaboration
• Analyze Marine Corps contributions to USAFRICOM and USEUCOM support plans
• Evaluate personnel and command and control (C2) requirements for naval operations
• Conduct cross-echelon analysis of C2 and organizational structures
• Organize and monitor key actions and milestones for planning teams
• Participate in exercises and working groups for naval integration
• Recommend courses of action and command relationships at the operational level
• Provide expertise on doctrine and concepts of operation
• Describe capability requirements to assist decision-makers
• Identify and document issues related to doctrine, training, and policy
