Tasks
- Map and document end-to-end commercial processes
- Maintain opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid decisions
- Develop and manage proposal development and pricing approvals
- Establish and own the Commercial Process Handbook
- Define and enforce stage-gate criteria and approval authorities
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance and defense-sector standards
- Analyze commercial processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Design and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times
- Increase win rates through process optimization
- Introduce and track KPIs for commercial process health
- Benchmark against defense-industry best practices
- Conduct periodic process audits and compliance reviews
- Report audit findings to the Head of Commercial Strategy
- Recommend corrective actions based on audit findings
- Track and report on defined commercial enterprise risks
- Act as the gatekeeper during critical processes
- Ensure mandatory steps are completed before progression
- Configure and improve CRM and commercial management tools
- Develop templates and checklists for commercial operations
- Create decision-support tools to accelerate daily operations
- Design and deliver training programs for commercial team members
- Ensure all team members follow established processes
- Partner with Manufacturing, Legal, and Finance
- Align commercial processes with contractual and financial workflows
- Support commercial teams during major pursuits
- Maintain process discipline under time pressure
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits
