Tasks

  • Map and document end-to-end commercial processes
  • Maintain opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid decisions
  • Develop and manage proposal development and pricing approvals
  • Establish and own the Commercial Process Handbook
  • Define and enforce stage-gate criteria and approval authorities
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and defense-sector standards
  • Analyze commercial processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Design and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times
  • Increase win rates through process optimization
  • Introduce and track KPIs for commercial process health
  • Benchmark against defense-industry best practices
  • Conduct periodic process audits and compliance reviews
  • Report audit findings to the Head of Commercial Strategy
  • Recommend corrective actions based on audit findings
  • Track and report on defined commercial enterprise risks
  • Act as the gatekeeper during critical processes
  • Ensure mandatory steps are completed before progression
  • Configure and improve CRM and commercial management tools
  • Develop templates and checklists for commercial operations
  • Create decision-support tools to accelerate daily operations
  • Design and deliver training programs for commercial team members
  • Ensure all team members follow established processes
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Legal, and Finance
  • Align commercial processes with contractual and financial workflows
  • Support commercial teams during major pursuits
  • Maintain process discipline under time pressure
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits
