- Create, modify, and maintain custom-developed CLIST and REXX utilities
- Install Db2 for z/OS and related tools
- Apply Db2 for z/OS maintenance
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for operational support
- Create database backups
- Perform database recoveries as required
- Troubleshoot service issues
- Identify root causes of issues
- Provide solutions to service issues
- Monitor database subsystem performance
- Devise solutions for performance-related issues
- Ensure compliance with database policies and procedures
- Support disaster recovery exercises
- Serve as primary point of contact for Db2 tool vendors
