Requirements
- University degree in law or business law, ideally with labour law focus (minimum one state exam or equivalent)
- Several years of experience in labour law or HR with strong exposure to co-determination and works council negotiations in Germany
- Excellent knowledge of German individual and collective labour law, including practical experience in transformation or restructuring contexts
- Strong consulting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills in complex and sensitive environments
- Ability to translate strategic business objectives into legally sound and socially sustainable solutions
- Analytical and structured mindset with pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
- Native German and excellent English communication skills
- Willingness to travel to German Alstom sites when required
Tasks
- Support negotiations and dialogue with works councils and trade unions
- Collaborate on transformation and restructuring programs with HR and leaders
- Prepare and negotiate reconciliation-of-interests agreements and social plans
- Foster constructive cooperation with employee representatives
- Conduct industrial relations risk assessments for transformation projects
- Develop mitigation strategies and management decision proposals
- Evaluate legal feasibility and collective-law implications of measures
- Review company agreements for alignment with policies and German labour law
- Train and build HR capabilities on German labour law and social dialogue
