Requirements

  • •Teaching certification, preferably with a master's degree in a related field
  • •Experience teaching Mathematics in IB programmes (MYP and DP preferred; also welcome candidates with experience in AP, A-Level, IGCSE or similar)
  • •Experience in international schools with excellent references indicating a passion for teaching Mathematics
  • •Outstanding communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • •Strong belief that all students can access and succeed at Mathematics
  • •Innovative, connected, creative, collaborative, flexible and proactive professional with a passion for your subject
  • •Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students' varying abilities and interests
  • •Ability to incorporate varied instructional models and assessment methods to optimise student learning
  • •Team player who is resilient and a risk taker with a positive growth mindset
  • •Motivated to help students become creative and critical thinkers
  • •Create a safe, secure and stimulating environment based on understanding, respect and shared agreements
  • •Value and make productive use of the diversity of cultures and perspectives

  • •Desirable experience in teaching Theory of Knowledge
  • •Supervise the Personal Project/Extended Essay
  • •Experience as an IB workshop leader and/or examiner

Tasks

  • •Teach IB DP and IB MYP Mathematics to students in grades 6 to 12
  • •Design inquiry-driven, differentiated instruction
  • •Implement Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions for all learners
  • •Communicate regularly with parents to strengthen home-school partnerships
  • •Contribute to homeroom/advisor roles and extra-curricular activities
  • •Plan collaboratively across disciplines
  • •Utilize technology effectively in teaching and learning
  • •Promote student well-being in the Mathematics classroom and beyond
