You will bridge the gap between laboratory automation and scientific discovery by developing Python-based workflows and managing high-performance computing environments to support R&D projects.

Requirements

  • PhD in Life Sciences, related field, or comparable qualification
  • Postdoctoral experience as a plus
  • Practical experience in scientific Python programming
  • Background in bioinformatics and/or biostatistics
  • Understanding of data-driven scientific workflows
  • Experience with Linux-based environments and HPC
  • Experience with cloud-based analysis as plus
  • Independent working style and communication skills
  • Interest in scientifically oriented support roles
  • Fluent English and good German knowledge

Tasks

  • Design and maintain custom data management solutions
  • Develop Python-based scripts and codebases
  • Manage code testing, documentation, and deployment
  • Bridge data generation with scientific interpretation
  • Ensure reproducibility and traceability of results
  • Integrate bioinformatic and biostatistical tools
  • Execute workflows on HPC and cloud environments
  • Select execution environments based on technical needs
  • Maintain automation-related laboratory infrastructure
  • Consult with project teams on requirements analysis
  • Advance internal data management best practices
