Engineer for Aerodynamics(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will focus on delivering aerodynamic models and collaborating with diverse teams to enhance aircraft design. Your expertise in data science will help solve complex aerodynamic challenges, ensuring innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Requirements

• •Master's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
• •Sound understanding of aerodynamics
• •First experience in aerodynamic numerical simulations, Computational Fluid Dynamics, wind tunnel test, or flight test
• •Expertise in digitalization topics such as data fusion, surrogate modeling, model-based system engineering, big data analytics, machine learning, and cloud computing
• •Good working knowledge of a programming language, preferably Matlab or Python
• •Knowledge of CFD, CAD, meshing, turbulence models, and limitations would be an advantage
• •Familiarity with data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence would be an advantage
• •Aptitude for complex problem solving and innovation
• •Excellent communication and presentation skills
• •Team-oriented mindset with strong customer focus
• •Fluency in English mandatory, good German skills beneficial

Tasks

• •Deliver aerodynamic models and data for loads assessment
• •Assess aircraft performance and handling qualities
• •Contribute to the design, optimization, and validation of aircraft shapes, structures, and systems
• •Define future aerodynamic processes and technologies
• •Collaborate with transnational project teams to secure multi-disciplinary design solutions
• •Meet customer requirements while ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery
• •Apply data science methods to solve aerodynamic business tasks
• •Utilize data analytics, machine learning, and model-based system engineering
• •Provide aerodynamic support to manufacturing plants and airlines
