Engineer for Aerodynamics(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
• Sound understanding of aerodynamics
• First experience in aerodynamic numerical simulations, Computational Fluid Dynamics, wind tunnel test, or flight test
• Expertise in digitalization topics such as data fusion, surrogate modeling, model-based system engineering, big data analytics, machine learning, and cloud computing
• Good working knowledge of a programming language, preferably Matlab or Python
• Knowledge of CFD, CAD, meshing, turbulence models, and limitations would be an advantage
• Familiarity with data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence would be an advantage
• Aptitude for complex problem solving and innovation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Team-oriented mindset with strong customer focus
• Fluency in English mandatory, good German skills beneficial

Tasks

• Deliver aerodynamic models and data for loads assessment
• Assess aircraft performance and handling qualities
• Contribute to the design, optimization, and validation of aircraft shapes, structures, and systems
• Define future aerodynamic processes and technologies
• Collaborate with transnational project teams to secure multi-disciplinary design solutions
• Meet customer requirements while ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery
• Apply data science methods to solve aerodynamic business tasks
• Utilize data analytics, machine learning, and model-based system engineering
• Provide aerodynamic support to manufacturing plants and airlines
