Requirements
- Graduate degree preferred or Bachelor's degree with advanced certification
- Minimum 10 years managing grants for independent medical education, CSR, or corporate philanthropy
- Experience in complex, matrixed global organizations
- Medical device industry experience preferred
- Ability to understand strategy and align tactics
- Global mindset and ability to collaborate and build strategic alignment across countries/regions
- Advanced understanding of fraud, abuse, anti-kickback, transparency reporting, and healthcare regulations for medical device companies preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead through influence
- Knowledge of statistical methods and ability to organize and present data
- Demonstrated project management skills with multi-tasking abilities
- Knowledge of Olympus products, asset management practices, and logistics preferred
- Excellent communication skills and command of English, written and spoken
- Ability to accommodate meeting times for global participants
Tasks
- Gather and synthesize information for regional grant implementation
- Develop knowledge of educational needs across EMEA
- Establish annual regional execution plan for grants activities
- Serve as ambassador for EMEA Grants initiatives
- Share information on Grants priorities and programs
- Construct and implement policies for EMEA Grants activities
- Ensure EMEA Grants processes adhere to global standards
- Manage application and screening processes for grants
- Prepare information and reports for the EMEA Grants Committee
- Oversee engagement with external grant requestors
- Inform applicants of program and Committee standards
- Provide instructions to remedy application deficiencies
- Supervise contract execution for approved programs
- Supervise payment generation for approved programs
- Distribute information to personnel for product configurations
- Distribute information to personnel for program suitability evaluations
- Evaluate and respond to gaps and challenges
- Escalate issues compromising the Grants Committee's ability
- Support global and regional budgeting and forecasting
- Project in-kind product expenses
- Review Finance reports to validate Grants spend
- Design and implement systems for post-program reconciliation
- Exercise discretion to escalate findings
- Manage grants data for timely reporting
- Provide reports to global Grants management
- Provide reports to the EMEA Grants Committee
- Provide reports to EMEA departments including GRC, Legal, Finance, Transparency, and Audit
