Electronics Technician for Electronics Modules Assembly(m/w/x)
Assembly and quality inspection of electronics modules and physic detectors, with manual SMD/THT soldering, for high-energy physics research. Ability to interpret assembly files and technical documentation essential. 30 days paid leave, family and child allowances.
Requirements
- Background in electronics and electronics assembly
- Ability to interpret assembly files, BoMs, technical documentation
- Willingness to gain experience in assembly processes and procurement of electronic components
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm
- Strong team-working skills
- Spoken and written English or French, with commitment to learn the other
- Nationality of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum two years professional experience since graduation in Electronics, Mechatronics (or related field) and general secondary education diploma
- No prior CERN fellow or graduate contract
- Not holding a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree
- Ability to work in Radiation Areas
- Valid driving licence
Tasks
- Perform quality inspection and validation of electronics modules produced by contractors
- Procure electronic components for internal or subcontracted production
- Assemble electronics modules using dedicated industrial processes
- Manually solder SMD and THT electronic components
- Assemble physic detectors by hand soldering SMD fine pitch connectors
