- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Economy
- 10+ years in cost engineering, VM, design to cost, or manufacturing
- 10+ years leading global teams for profitability, sustainability, innovation, time to market
- Proven scientific expertise in semiconductors (chip, device, modem, memory)
- More than 10 years in semiconductor industry
- Outstanding engaging skills with diverse, cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
- Embrace continuous improvement in competitive environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Master’s degree
- Experience with automotive electronics desirable
- Build cross-functional collaboration models for sourcing, design, manufacturing improvements
- Implement improvements in automotive electronics
- Experience in corporate level design to cost/manufacturing programs
- Proven team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Change Orientation: adapt to changing demands and conditions
- German language skills are a plus
- Chinese language skills are a plus
- Hungarian language skills are a plus
- Willing to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)
Tasks
- Define and execute cost and sustainability engineering strategy
- Establish vision, goals, and methods for profitability and sustainability
- Build capabilities for carbon neutrality and lifecycle assessment
- Develop and align cross-functional teams for profitability and sustainability
- Enroll executive leadership and suppliers in cost transparency framework
- Support make versus buy analysis with Controlling, Category, and Operation teams
- Define and deliver advanced sourcing and CO2e reduction strategies
- Create and execute supplier and customer cost negotiation strategies
- Ensure consistent cost and CO2e modeling practices
- Develop synergy programs within Samsung Group
- Lead Component Engineering to create a component library
- Develop cost-conscious mindset across Automotive division teams
- Lead, coach, and develop staff through training and succession planning
