Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in computer/data science or scientific computing, or Bachelor’s degree with >2 years applied software development/platform engineering/deployment experience and/or AI data management workflows, ideally as senior engineer
- Proficiency in data center environments (Linux servers, Python, Git, Gitlab)
- Proven experience designing, deploying, maintaining end-to-end AI/ML software stacks on HPC, cloud, or hybrid environments
- Extensive knowledge/experience developing/maintaining software/data environments for AI, HPC, data analytics use cases
- Ability to design/operate data management workflows, integrating with data platforms, model hubs, data spaces, external repositories using standardized interfaces/APIs
- Willingness to keep up with current developments and learn new AI technologies
- Excellent English and preferably German presentation/writing skills
- Advanced understanding of high performance object storage and RDMA, and their use in platform/software development
- Solid understanding of data governance, access control, privacy, regulatory compliance (European contexts), handling sensitive data
- Experience testing, benchmarking, optimizing software components for scalability, performance, usability in large-scale AI environments
- Experience with agile development methods and CI/CD
Tasks
- Develop and maintain software and data environments

- Contribute to the software stack and service portfolio
- Support platform development for AI data sets and models
- Foster relationships with collaboration partners
- Engage with stakeholders in the European AI ecosystem
- Work on novel AI R&D projects with partners
- Maintain relationships with technology providers
- Collaborate with system developers (software/hardware)
