Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in category management, product/brand management, or P&L management
  • Experience in commercial products sector or technology/IT industry
  • Strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking skills
  • Comfortable working with business data to derive insights
  • Ability to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and formulate strategies
  • Data-driven mindset and proficiency with analytical tools or Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to articulate category plans and results to different audiences
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and negotiate priorities
  • Fluent business-level English
  • Goal-oriented, results-driven mindset
  • Initiative and ability to meet or exceed business targets
  • Adept at project management and prioritizing tasks

  • Proven track record in category management or closely related area
  • Experience managing product portfolio’s performance in consumer electronics or FMCG sector
  • Achievements in growing market share or launching new products
  • Experience working with channel partners or external vendors
  • Collaboration with retailers, distributors, or alliance partners
  • Familiarity with partner ecosystems and partner management
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred
  • Advanced education can strengthen strategic business insight
  • MBA with focus on marketing or strategy beneficial
  • Certification or training in category management principles, data analytics, or project management advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment or mentoring experience

Tasks

  • Contribute to the category's business plan and growth strategy
  • Analyze market opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Define strategies for profitability in the consumer product portfolio
  • Lead product positioning and pricing strategy for competitive advantage
  • Develop long-term vision and short-term action plans for the category
  • Manage the product portfolio end-to-end with P&L responsibility
  • Oversee product lifecycle activities, including new product introductions
  • Plan assortment and phase-outs to meet local market needs
  • Take ownership of revenue, unit volume, and margin targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute category plans
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, sales programs, and pricing activities
  • Lead cross-functional go-to-market teams for daily execution

  • Review category sales performance and profitability regularly
  • Develop corrective actions for performance gaps
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and market data
