Business Developer – Industrial Vehicles & Petercem Sensors / Railway(m/w/x)
Acquiring new customers for industrial vehicle sensors and expanding railway sensor sales. Several years of B2B technical sales experience in electronics or electromechanical components required. Company car for private use, fully funded pension scheme.
Requirements
- Technical or commercial education (degree, technician or comparable qualification), ideally electrical engineering, electronics or mechatronics background
- Several years of professional experience in technical B2B sales or business development, ideally with electronic or electromechanical components
- Industry know-how in industrial/commercial vehicles, railway rolling stock, or power electronics (sensors, converters, traction systems)
- Solid technical understanding of customised, project-driven product solutions
- Willingness to learn new technologies (e.g. voltage and current sensors, LED lighting, HMI)
- Proven track record in customer acquisition, negotiation and closing of mid- and long-term projects
- Strong networking skills
- Confident appearance towards technical and commercial decision-makers
- High degree of self-motivation
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Strong team player
- Excellent German skills (written and spoken)
- Very good English skills (written and spoken)
- French skills (plus)
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Confident handling of CRM tools
- Willingness to travel within Europe (approx. 30–40 %)
Tasks
- Develop and acquire new customers in the Industrial Vehicles market
- Expand sales of Petercem Sensors in the railway market
- Identify and qualify new project opportunities
- Build a robust sales pipeline for both market segments
- Analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions
- Prepare and negotiate quotations and contracts
- Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers
- Collaborate with MAFELEC TEAM sister companies for cross-selling
- Conduct market and competitor analysis
- Identify trends in industrial vehicles and railway power electronics
- Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events
- Report on activities, pipeline, forecast, and budget
