Requirements
- Active Secret clearance and TS/SCI eligibility
- Knowledge of programming, systems, and industrial networks
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or software automation
- Strong analytical skills for hardware/software diagnosis
- Collaboration and technical reporting skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills with clients
- Ability to identify automation efficiency opportunities
- Proficiency in researching and designing automation technology
- Ability to connect inputs, controllers, and outputs
- Knowledge of developing tests and simulations
- Ability to establish and monitor QA processes
- Strong investigation skills regarding technology defects
Tasks
- Build and mature the automation and orchestration environment
- Increase operational efficiency through automation
- Document automation development and operational capabilities
- Deploy tools and workflows to manage infrastructure
- Manage platform infrastructure and applications
- Design and maintain scalable, reliable systems
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks
- Eliminate single points of failure
- Develop automation frameworks for geographically dispersed sites
- Collaborate with operations teams on automation use-cases
- Create a roadmap for DevOps tool development
- Drive development and adoption of Infrastructure as Code
- Provide engineering support for software applications
- Deliver operational support for software applications
- Improve software quality through rigorous testing
- Implement rigorous software release procedures
- Drive system design and platform management
- Perform capacity planning
- Balance development speed with system reliability
- Manage well-defined service level objectives
