Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, financial engineering, economics, accounting, or similar quantitative discipline
  • Deep knowledge of ABS and RMBS transactions
  • Experience reviewing legal documents and cash-flow analysis for structured finance transactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and high-quality work
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage workload independently
  • Willingness to learn new analytical approaches, think creatively, and work well in a team
  • Permission to live and work in the European Union
  • CFA, accounting designation, or Master's in a related field (asset)
  • Knowledge of another European language (plus)

Tasks

  • Lead or maintain Morningstar DBRS ratings for European transactions
  • Review legal documents for European Structured Finance transactions
  • Conduct portfolio credit analysis using Morningstar DBRS methodologies
  • Analyze asset-liability cash flow structures with Morningstar DBRS tools
  • Evaluate recent performance trends for transactions
  • Review and approve performance analytics reports for publication
  • Collaborate with European Structured Finance teams and analysts
  • Support analysts in assigning new ratings to transactions
  • Work with arrangers and issuers on transaction amendments
  • Draft surveillance committee memos with analysis and rating recommendations
  • Write and publish press releases, commentaries, and market research
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools and reports
  • Conduct market research and financial analysis for rating committees
  • Represent Morningstar DBRS in meetings and industry events
