Requirements

- •Active Top Secret Clearance
- •Experience in arms control implementation and compliance
- •Experience supporting HQ USAFE in arms control
- •Ability to work independently and in a team
- •Ability to work with unit and headquarters personnel on arms control
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
- •Superb briefing and writing skills
- •High level of written and oral communication skills
- •Completion of formal training on arms control treaties
- •Air Staff or Major Command Headquarters staff experience
- •Working knowledge of arms control process within DoD
- •Familiarity with Air Force planning and programming process
- •Working knowledge of USAFE/EUCOM/NATO/European environment
- •Knowledge of CFE, Vienna Document 2011, OS, CWMD, and CWC treaty texts
- •Knowledge of Air Force counter-proliferation and CWMD doctrine
- •Knowledge of host country practices and policies
- •Knowledge of Air Force doctrine and policy for arms control operations
- •Technical skill in organizing program goals and objectives
- •Ability to apply analytical reasoning to treaty text and guidance
- •Ability to understand host country law and values for military exchange
- •Knowledge of automated information systems and database usage

- •Research and analyze policy and technical issues
- •Review and comment on documents
- •Provide recommendations on policy and operations
- •Support arms control treaty negotiations
- •Assist with treaty-related implementation and compliance planning
- •Prepare programming and budgeting submissions
- •Liaise between HQ U.S. European Command and HQ USAFE
- •Review U.S. classified arms control proposals
- •Update HQ USAFE-wide training materials
- •Assist units in preparation for on-site inspections
- •Support arms control implementation and compliance activities
- •Act as subject matter expert on treaty implications
- •Advise leadership on treaty requirements and obligations
- •Ensure deployment of forces aligns with treaty restrictions
- •Input and verify military data in the Arms Control Enterprise System
- •Manage military data exchanges for treaties
- •Support on-site inspection and overflight activities
- •Train installation personnel for on-site inspections
- •Assess and minimize impact of arms control issues on operations
- •Provide backup support for Counter-Proliferation missions
- •Develop requirements for future arms control needs
