AH-64 Aircraft Quality Control Inspector/Technical Inspector (FAA A&P or FCC)(m/w/x)
As an AH-64 Aircraft Quality Control Inspector, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and safety by inspecting and maintaining complex aircraft systems, conducting thorough inspections, and collaborating with the quality assurance team to uphold compliance.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience
- Current and valid FAA A&P certificate or FCC License with Elements 1 and 3
- Five years of experience as an Aircraft Inspector on AH-64 MDS airframe
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) strongly preferred
- Five years of experience as an Aircraft Inspector (TI) on AH-64 MDS airframe
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
- Interim NACI approval required prior to deployment
- Valid US Passport required for travel to Germany
- Must qualify for TESA approval with 5 years aviation maintenance experience
- Travel as required in support of task order
- Good communication skills, adaptability, and troubleshooting capability
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical systems principles
- Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures
- Skill in reading, applying, and interpreting technical data
- Ability to work in tiring and uncomfortable positions
- Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds
- Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide
Tasks
- Inspect complex aircraft mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, and reassemble aircraft systems
- Calibrate aircraft systems according to maintenance manuals and test procedures
- Conduct receiving, in-process, final quality, and flight safety inspections
- Perform functional operational tests during maintenance and repair
- Approve or reject work completed by field team members
- Review and approve locally developed repair procedures
- Analyze defects and interpret quality control rejection trends
- Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements
- Conduct daily work site safety inspections using checklists
- Perform Foreign Object Damage Inspections
- Monitor tool control programs and maintain calibration records
- Maintain Quality, Safety, Training, and Certification Records
- Coordinate with the Customer Quality Assurance Representative on quality matters
- Inspect forms and records related to aircraft maintenance
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned
