Aircraft Mechanic 2 (UH60)(m/w/x)
Full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance, including structures, subsystems, and lubrication. Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience required. Health, dental, and vision insurance provided.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Five years recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience
- FAA A&P or FCC License with Elements 1 and 3
- FAA A&P certificate with at least two years aviation maintenance experience and two years on assigned MDS (UH60)
- All experience within the five most recent years
- FCC License with Elements 1 and 3, or willingness to obtain, with three years aviation maintenance experience, three years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years minimum on assigned Mission Design Series UH60 (MDS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance (NACI T1) Public Trust
- US Citizenship required for NACI Clearance
- Valid US Passport required for travel to Germany
- Ability to qualify for TESA approval (German Govt)
- Five years total aviation maintenance experience in the last five years
- Good communication skills
- Adaptability
- Diversified capabilities
- Capability of troubleshooting entire aircraft system
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical systems principles
- Knowledge of Quality Control procedures
- Knowledge of Production procedures
- Knowledge of Supply procedures
- Ability to determine repair needs for faulty systems or assemblies
- Ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch
- Ability to work in tiring and uncomfortable positions
- Frequent lifting of parts and equipment up to 20 pounds
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
- Immediate deployability to potential combat areas worldwide
Tasks
- Perform full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance
- Maintain and repair aircraft structures and components
- Remove and install aircraft subsystems and components
- Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems
- Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks
- Perform scheduled and special inspections
- Conduct limited maintenance operational checks
- Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems
- Use special tools and test equipment
- Maintain and repair tools and ground support equipment
- Apply technical expertise to solve complex problems
- Interpret technical documentation and guidance
- Maintain aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical parts
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned
