Aircraft Mechanic 2 Powertrain Back Shop - A&P or FCC License(m/w/x)
As a Powertrain Back Shop Mechanic, you will engage in hands-on maintenance and repair of aircraft systems, ensuring safety and performance while working on various components and assemblies. This role involves inspections, replacements, and record-keeping, all while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience
- FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) and two years aviation maintenance experience
- Experience within the last five years
- FCC License with Elements 1 and 3 and three years aviation maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain T1/CAC NACI US Government Clearance
- Valid US Passport
- TESA approval qualification with five years aviation maintenance experience
- Good communication skills, adaptability, and troubleshooting capability
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical systems principles
- Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures
- Ability to determine repair needs for faulty systems
- Skill in reading and interpreting technical data
- Ability to work in tiring and uncomfortable positions
- Ability to frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Immediate deployability to potential combat areas worldwide
Tasks
- Perform maintenance and repair on aircraft sub-system assemblies
- Inspect parts for wear, cracks, security, or defects
- Replace component bearings and bushings
- Ream bushings as needed
- Conduct Periodic Maintenance Inspections on main rotor heads
- Execute Time Before Overhaul replacements
- Complete and maintain applicable forms and records
- Recommend methods to enhance equipment performance and maintenance procedures
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and housekeeping policies
- Perform general aircraft maintenance duties
- Remove and install aircraft assemblies and components
- Carry out additional duties as requested
