Requirements
- US Citizenship
- Valid US Passport
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience
- Valid FAA A&P certificate or FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3)
- Two years aviation maintenance experience and two years on assigned MDS (AH-64)
- Three years aviation maintenance experience, three years rotary wing aircraft experience and two years on assigned AH-64 MDS
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust
- Valid US Passport for deployment to Germany
- Qualify for TESA approval with five years career total aviation maintenance experience
- Travel as required in support of task order
- Good communication skills, adaptability, troubleshooting skills
- Ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring positions
- Ability to frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Immediate deployability to potential combat areas worldwide
Tasks
- Perform military tactical aircraft maintenance as an AH-64 mechanic
- Conduct repair functions including assembly and modification on various Army and DoD aircraft
- Install, connect, and adjust fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission systems
- Align fuselage parts and balance tail rotor assemblies
- Rig complete flight control systems
- Incorporate authorized modifications and changes
- Make operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources
- Inspect and troubleshoot malfunctions to determine causes
- Disassemble components to identify trouble points and adjust or repair as needed
- Use common hand tools and measuring devices effectively
- Determine when faulty systems can be repaired or require new parts
- Read, apply, and interpret technical data accurately
- Prepare maintenance forms and records
- Perform additional duties as required
- Apply knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems principles
- Understand Quality Control, Production, and Supply procedures
