As an AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic, you will engage in a variety of maintenance tasks, including inspecting and troubleshooting systems, as well as performing repairs and modifications. Your expertise will ensure the aircraft operates safely and efficiently, making each day dynamic and impactful.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Valid US Passport
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience
  • Valid FAA A&P certificate or FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3)
  • Two years aviation maintenance experience and two years on assigned MDS (AH-64)
  • Three years aviation maintenance experience, three years rotary wing aircraft experience and two years on assigned AH-64 MDS
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance, NAC-I T1 Public Trust
  • Valid US Passport for deployment to Germany
  • Qualify for TESA approval with five years career total aviation maintenance experience
  • Travel as required in support of task order
  • Good communication skills, adaptability, troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring positions
  • Ability to frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds
  • Immediate deployability to potential combat areas worldwide

Tasks

  • Perform military tactical aircraft maintenance as an AH-64 mechanic
  • Conduct repair functions including assembly and modification on various Army and DoD aircraft
  • Install, connect, and adjust fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission systems
  • Align fuselage parts and balance tail rotor assemblies
  • Rig complete flight control systems
  • Incorporate authorized modifications and changes
  • Make operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources
  • Inspect and troubleshoot malfunctions to determine causes
  • Disassemble components to identify trouble points and adjust or repair as needed
  • Use common hand tools and measuring devices effectively
  • Determine when faulty systems can be repaired or require new parts
  • Read, apply, and interpret technical data accurately
  • Prepare maintenance forms and records
  • Perform additional duties as required
  • Apply knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems principles
  • Understand Quality Control, Production, and Supply procedures
