Requirements

• •PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, or related technical field, or equivalent industrial experience
• •8+ years’ professional experience in Medicinal Chemistry role
• •Proven track record of leading medicinal chemistry efforts on drug discovery projects
• •Experience of contributing to structure-based drug design problems
• •Experience of leading a high-performing scientific team
• •Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• •Experience of working with and closely managing CRO resources
• •Strong track record of scientific achievements
• •Genuine passion for drug discovery and enthusiasm for AI/ML potential
• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• •Track record of creative problem solving with growth mindset
• •Experience of successful application of fragment-based drug design approaches

Tasks

• •Provide line management for a team of 2-4 Medicinal Chemists
• •Set clear goals and provide regular feedback
• •Support team members' professional development
• •Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
• •Drive drug discovery programs to value inflection points
• •Take ownership as a Medicinal Chemistry Lead or Project Lead
• •Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scientific solutions
• •Interact with existing and prospective collaborators and CROs
• •Provide strategic input to AI/ML platform teams
• •Manage CRO resources and monitor KPIs
• •Generate intellectual property positions
• •Prepare detailed scientific proposals and reports
• •Champion a culture of inclusion and continuous professional development
