Requirements

  • Experience with sustainability projects and international social/governance standards (GRI, CSRD, UN Global Compact)
  • Experience implementing sustainability strategies (social/governance actions, project delivery, reporting, stakeholder engagement)
  • Experience in sustainability reporting and producing professional, accurate, engaging reports/communications in English
  • Ability to distil complex social/governance topics into clear, actionable insights
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in working within a technical international organisation
  • Ability to create training materials and communicate technical concepts via presentations/workshops
  • Solid organisational skills
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Client handling and interpersonal skills
  • Spoken and written English
  • Commitment to learn French
  • Nationality of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
  • Professional background in Sustainability Management or related field
  • Master's degree with 2-6 years post-graduation experience OR PhD with max 3 years post-graduation experience
  • No prior CERN fellow or graduate contract

  • Document CERN's social and governance initiatives
  • Collect sustainability data
  • Analyze sustainability data
  • Support project implementation and coordination
  • Monitor project progress
  • Document project results
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure transparency in reporting
  • Ensure compliance with global standards
  • Create communication materials for sustainability initiatives and targets
  • Support training and engagement activities
  • Foster a culture of sustainability at CERN
  • Execute project tasks identified by the Officer
