Requirements
- 3-5+ years procurement experience, preferably medical device/automotive
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or related technical field
- Technical background with solid understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes (SMT, electronics, machining, plastic injection...)
- Experience with project management and cross-functional teams
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills
- Familiarity with regulated environments (ISO 13485, FDA, IATF 16949) is highly advantageous
- ERP system experience
- Fluent English (written and spoken); French and other languages are a plus
- Ability to travel occasionally to suppliers (domestic and international- 10-20%)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities
- Team player with proactive and hands-on attitude
- Bachelor's Degree
Tasks
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers
- Manage complex requests for quotations
- Negotiate long-term contracts and pricing agreements
- Develop supplier development plans
- Identify and implement cost savings opportunities
- Conduct market analysis and risk assessments
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities
- Monitor supplier performance and invoice discrepancies
- Ensure continuity of supply
- Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP
- Act as procurement lead in projects
- Support new product development sourcing
- Drive early supplier involvement in design
- Manage sourcing for project-specific equipment
- Foster strong supplier relationships
- Evaluate supplier performance against metrics
- Conduct Top-to-Top meetings with suppliers
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality and Project Managers
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Regulatory
- Participate in project meetings and design reviews
- Ensure procurement aligns with quality systems
- Improve procurement processes
- Drive procurement excellence
