Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years progressive experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing
  • Proven Capex procurement management experience, ideally in medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector
  • Track record of delivering cost savings or value improvements through change projects
  • Hands-on experience in low-maturity or developing procurement function
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize demands, and make sound decisions
  • Strong analytical capabilities, comfortable with Excel and Power BI or equivalent tools
  • Experience collaborating with global or matrix procurement teams
  • Fluency in English and French (C1 minimum)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Agility to shift focus between strategic and urgent operational tasks
  • Proactive builder, identifying and proposing improvements for processes and tools
  • Collaborative approach, able to bring stakeholders along on strategic decisions
  • High learning-curve capability for unfamiliar categories or markets

Tasks

  • Develop and implement category strategies for direct and indirect spend
  • Lead sourcing events end-to-end
  • Drive change projects for cost savings and efficiency
  • Manage Capex procurement for equipment and facilities
  • Build and maintain supplier performance management framework
  • Coordinate Swiss strategies with global procurement
  • Manage requisitions and resolve supplier issues
  • Support adoption of procurement tools and systems
  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, quality, and lab teams
  • Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and regulations
