Requirements

  • BS Industrial Technologies/Mech. Eng./Industrial Distribution or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the field
  • Power Transmission industry experience preferred
  • 2+ years sales management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Tasks

  • Direct account area managers interfacing with end users, OEMs, industrial distributors, and industry organizations
  • Set short- and long-term sales strategies
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current sales deployment
  • Provide VOC input to business unit leadership
  • Execute business unit strategic plans
  • Serve as escalation point for sales associates and internal customer issues
  • Manage disciplined selling processes to meet quotas
  • Conduct regular funnel reviews
  • Manage team performance
  • Review and adjust account segmentation and assignments annually
  • Deploy sales resources to meet or exceed annual targets
  • Use CRM KPIs for coaching sellers
  • Maintain C-level relationships with key distributors
  • Coach, train, and develop sellers to exceed quotas
  • Develop sales talent and build bench strength
  • Interview and hire new sales talent
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations
  • Review and set SMART goals twice annually
  • Assess team talent and potential using company tools
  • Facilitate regional meetings
  • Lead customer training and plant visits
  • Manage root-cause countermeasure process
  • Participate in and lead trade organizations
