Requirements

  • Prior stakeholder management and indirect procurement experience
  • Procurement skills: supplier relationship, expediting, prioritizing, negotiating, analyzing performance
  • Strong customer service orientation; excellent analytic, interpersonal, communication, negotiating skills
  • High experience in SAP/Ariba and S2P processes
  • Prior cGMP experience in biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, medical device, or comparable controlled industries (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Icertis (preferred)
  • Positive, collaborative problem-solving approach; teamwork success
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively
  • High degree of independence; minimal supervision; senior leadership communication ability
  • Proactive, creative, analytic approach to continuous improvement and opportunity identification
  • Strong customer service orientation; excellent analytic, interpersonal, communication, negotiating skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment; ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively
  • Minimum Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Science (preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in Procurement or Supplier management (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
  • Understanding of OSD manufacturing procurement operations (strong asset)
  • Ability to physically travel for field-based/remote roles

Tasks

  • Lead local sourcing efforts for related categories
  • Align with manufacturing network strategy and initiatives
  • Support the business by partnering with site management
  • Engage cross-functionally within the GPS network
  • Drive benchmarking for individual sites and the network
  • Achieve best value for individual sites and the network
  • Ensure continuity of current activities, products, and services
  • Manage suppliers for continuity of activities
  • Engage with site stakeholders and global teams
  • Lead site implementation of global projects and processes
  • Manage supporting activities for timely execution
  • Lead site standardization efforts
  • Drive delivery of cost savings
  • Source alternate materials for cost savings and avoidance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand consumption
  • Monitor deliveries and deadlines with suppliers
  • Lead negotiations with in-scope suppliers
  • Conduct operational reviews with in-scope suppliers
  • Investigate and resolve problems
  • Record problems including invoice discrepancies
  • Record problems including damages and over shipments
  • Manage CDAs, LOIs, SOWs, and MSAs across the site and network
  • Manage accurate KPI reporting for supplier performance
  • Report on supplier compliance to contracted terms
  • Serve as primary contact for pricing and supplier management
  • Ensure smooth communication between suppliers and the site
  • Achieve and exceed metrics including value beyond savings
  • Manage purchase price variance (PPV)
  • Drive cost avoidances
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management programs
  • Align with Category Leads when applicable
  • Lead regional sub-category strategy development
  • Lead regional sub-category strategy execution
  • Collaborate with category leads when applicable
  • Lead annual budget process for site operations
  • Collaborate with category leaders and site finance
  • Work with department heads, facilities, and global finance
  • Support cGMP or Finance audit activities
  • Identify local suppliers
  • Identify best practices
  • Ensure local perspective in global initiatives
